GSSF members get a discount card each year for a new gun. Got a welcome packet in the mail with some general information and an ID and a gun purchase card. I just went by Alaska Ammo and got a GLOCK 19 MOS, and saved $110 over posted price. It was pretty painless. So, pretty good discount, which I understand is model specific. Anyway, just thought I'd pass that along.

We’re excited to have expanded the GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) Indoor League into Alaska giving locals the chance to compete with their GLOCKs indoors. The GSSF Indoor League is a great experience for all, whether you’re a new gun owner or an experienced competitor.

Below are the results of the first-ever Alaska GSSF Indoor League! Congratulations to all the participants!

We are currently working on assembling photos to add to this gallery. Stay tuned!

OK, so you want to participate in the GSSF Indoor League. What do you need to do?

Check out the steps below!

STEP #1

GSSF Membership

Get your GSSF Membership! Sign up or renew at https://gssf.pro/membership.

Yes, you need a GSSF Membership to compete in a GSSF Match. You can sign up or renew for one year or multiple years or get a Life membership. A 1-Year Individual Membership is $35.

A GSSF membership gives you access to take several GLOCK Training Courses, purchase a GLOCK pistol at a discount once each year of your membership, and the opportunity to enjoy time with friends and family at the range participating in GSSF Matches.

STEP #2

Register!

Register for one or more Divisions in upcoming Matches. Read about the GSSF Indoor League Divisions on this website.

Remember, you can enter multiple Divisions during a Match and you can go through the course of fire for a Division multiple times, as long as there is enough time. The first time through the course of fire is your official score. Additional runs through the course of fire do not count for official score but do count as an entry for the random drawing for a new GLOCK pistol, for eligible participants. Match fees apply for each entry.

STEP #3

Practice!

Visit the range during Walk-in Public Use Hours and practice with your GLOCK pistol(s) before the Match(es)! If you are new to the range make sure to stop in and get your Range Orientation and Safety Briefing completed to get your Range ID and Card.

For practice, we recommend using a D-1 Target to practice with, at 3, 5, 7, and 15 yards. Start at 3 and 5 yards and then work on the 7 and 15 yard distances. Focus on accurate shots and then work on your speed until you are confident firing 10 rounds in 15 seconds and hitting the center of the 10 ring with each shot.

STEP #4

Match Day

Show up for Match Day with all the equipment you will need and be ready to shoot the match and have fun! Make sure guns are UNLOADED and CASED.

WHAT IS GSSF?

The GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) is a safe, fun, family-oriented organization devoted to the responsible use of GLOCK firearms and encouraging participation in shooting sports. GSSF includes a community of GLOCK shooters and enthusiasts ranging in ages and levels of experience from new shooters to experienced. Competitions across the United States provide opportunities for shooters of all skill levels and experience to compete together in simple, but challenging courses of fire.

Indoor League Divisions

There are five Divisions for the GSSF Indoor GLOCK Pistol League.

Competitors may enter (with paid entry fee) more than one Division during a Match, time permitting.

The first firing of the Course of Fire is the score qualifying run for the competitor.

Additional runs through the Course of Fire in the same Division do not count for official score but do count as additional entries for the Random Drawn Prize of a new GLOCK Pistol (via redeemable certificate) for eligible participants.

FIVE DIVISIONS:

• STOCK - This Division is for stock (non-modified, no aftermarket parts) GLOCK pistols. GLOCK MOS models may be used with "iron" sights installed - if an optical sight is installed these models are restricted to the "Unlimited" Division if modified or the GLOCK MOS Division if stock.

• POCKET GLOCKS (stock G42, G43) - This Division was designed to specifically accommodate the stock GLOCK G42 and G43 pistols which hold a maximum of seven rounds.

• UNLIMITED (modified GLOCK pistols) - This Division is for those who wish to compete with a GLOCK pistol that has aftermarket components or modifications that are not allowed in the "Stock" Division. The pistol must have a GLOCK manufactured frame. GLOCK G36, G42, G43, and G44 models are excluded from this Division.

• RIMFIRE (stock G44) - This Division is for those who wish to compete with a stock GLOCK G44 .22 rimfire pistol.

• GLOCK MOS (stock MOS models) - This Division was designed to accommodate any stock GLOCK MOS (Modular Optic System) pistol and must be fired with optic mounted in the factory cut-out. Use of aftermarket cut-outs place the firearm in the Unlimited Division.

PRIZES

Competitors must compete, and use the same (model) GLOCK pistol, in at least two out of three matches to be eligible for prizes. Awards/Prizes to be determined and awarded AFTER completion of all three Matches in this League.

RANDOM - A new GLOCK Pistol (via redeemable certificate) is awarded in a random prize drawing after completion of all three matches, from all eligible entries. Each eligible participant who participates in two or more matches is allotted a chance to win the pistol. Competitors who shoot multiple runs may have their name entered as an entry for each completed run per gun.

GSSF Plaques are awarded for the following recognition categories:

STOCK

  • First Place A, B, and C class

  • High Lady

  • High Junior (under 18)

  • High Senior (55 and older)

POCKET GLOCKS (stock G42, G43)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

about the Alaska GSSF Indoor League

GSSF: Yes, that statement is accurate. Basically, what we are saying is that a competitor can’t come to Match #1 and shoot a G19 in Stock Division, Match #2 shoot a G26 in Stock and Match #3 shoot a G34 in Stock as this would not give them a completed run for scoring purposes. They can shoot each gun in each match but would have to shoot each gun at least two times for scoring and the additional entries.
