Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC)
Recognized as the most comprehensive youth hunting program anywhere in North America, the Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC) is NRA's "graduate studies" program in outdoor skills and safety training for young hunters.
AIM-COMM, the Alaska Interior Marksmanship Committee, is the lead organization for starting and maintaining the NRA Youth Hunter Education Challenge program in Alaska. Alaska's first YHEC state championship was held in 2005.
AIM-COMM partners with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game, the ADF&G Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range, and many community organizations, businesses, sponsors, and volunteers, to bring YHEC to the youth of Alaska.
